Each series runs for 10 weeks, with bonus rounds in Weeks 5 and 10.
Archers will compete in head-to-head matches.
Archers will be placed into divisions according to their maqām (grade).
Match scores must be recorded and submitted via WhatsApp.
There will be standard weekly match fixtures, with two designated bonus round fixtures in Weeks 5 and 10.
Archers may occasionally be scheduled for two matches in a single standard match week. Two match scores must be submitted unless the single-score rule is applied (see Submissions).
During bonus round weeks, archers must also submit a separate bonus score using the WMASS target.
Points will be recorded on a divisional leaderboard to determine each archer’s ranking.
The archer who finishes the 10-week series at the top of their division’s leaderboard will be declared the winner of that division.
In the event of a tie on total points at the end of the series, a tie-break match will be scheduled to determine the archer’s final ranking on the leaderboard.
I will use the thumb release method.
I will loose arrows on the right side of my bow if my draw hand is the right hand, and on the left side of my bow if my draw hand is the left hand.
I will draw to my ear, or as guided by my Ustādh, to achieve an optimal draw.
I will strive to execute all the arkāns I have learned to the best of my ability.
Archers are required to record a video of their target while shooting.
The archer must not be visible in the video.
The target must be visible, with no obstructions between the target and the camera.
Archers may place their recording device beside them or between their legs on the shooting line.
A picture of the target must be taken after the shooting is completed.
Archers must submit target and score evidence once per match week.
Target and score evidence consists of:
A video of the target while shooting (with the archer not visible), and
A photo of the target sheet clearly showing five shot arrows or five holes.
A clean target sheet must be submitted, showing no more than five arrows or five holes.
(If a target shows more than five arrows or holes, that score will be disqualified.)
Submissions must be made between Wednesday and Sunday, noon of the match week.
Submissions must be posted in the archer’s respective Torba League WhatsApp group.
Each submission must include:
▪️Full name
▪️Division
▪️Match week (e.g. W5)
▪️Fixture number(s) (e.g. F1, F2 if submitting for both fixtures)
▪️Report score (e.g. 4/5 = four out of five total dots)
Example:
Furlan Furlan
Men's Musafir
W5, F1 & F2
4/5
During bonus weeks (Week 5 and Week 10), archers must submit an additional bonus round score using the WMASS target.
If an archer is scheduled two league matches in one week, they may submit one set of score evidence to count for both fixtures.
(This does not apply to bonus rounds. During bonus weeks, a separate bonus score must still be submitted using the WMASS twelve-point Islamic star target, even if one score is submitted for the league matches.)
Failure to submit within the time window will result in a forfeit for that match.
Bonus rounds will take place during Week 5 and Week 10 of the series.
The WMASS twelve-point Islamic star target must be used exclusively for bonus rounds.
Archers must loose three arrows into the target for the bonus round.
The total score of the three arrows will be divided by 10, and the result added to the archer’s overall points on the leaderboard.
Example: A total of 24 points scored = 2.4 bonus points added to the leaderboard.
